Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, nurtured in Atlanta, Georgia, and now rooted in Long Beach, California, Christopher’s artistic journey evolved from his formative years to his studies at Howard University. His creative palette spans diverse mediums, from oil painting to digital art, and moves beyond aesthetics to serve as a means of advocacy and education. Christopher’s motivation and inspiration stems in part from his medically fragile younger brother, Evan, who grapples with chromosome 1 deletion. Through Evan’s journey, Christopher has come to realize that there is inherent beauty within what society might perceive as limitations. Instead of centering Evan’s challenges, Christopher celebrates his remarkable abilities, using his art as a vessel to tell the powerful and diverse stories of those who are differently-abled. With a keen eye for detail and a compassionate heart, he unveils the beauty within mental health struggles, vitiligo, and limb differences. His work is a testament to the fact that every individual, regardless of their unique journey, possesses immeasurable worth and purpose.
